Gen 3.0 Agents: What's New in Your WorkBoardAI Agents

Gen 3 is the next generation of your AI Chief of Staff and Leadership Coach — instant dashboards, 40+ action-based skills, configurable skills, external connectors, new proactive jobs, and more artifacts!

Your AI Chief of Staff (Luisa) and AI Leadership Coach (Sofia) have taken a giant leap forward. Gen 3 is the third generation of the WorkBoardAI agent platform — a rebuilt agent engine that makes your agents faster, more capable, and far more extensible.

Everything you already use stays where you left it: your bookmarks, Daily Focus, chat history, proactive jobs, connected teams, and external data sources all carry forward. Gen 3 adds new things your agents can do.

What's new in Gen 3

Instant dashboards

Tell your agent what you want to see and it compiles the data — from WorkBoard and from your connected external systems — into an interactive dashboard on the fly. No report builder, no ticket, no expertise required.

  • Bookmark a dashboard to return to it any time

  • Share it with individuals, teams, or your whole organization

  • Refresh the data on demand, and view prior versions

See Agent-Generated Dashboards for the full walkthrough.

PowerPoint, PDF, Word and Excel files

Your agent can hand you a finished document, not just an answer on screen.

  • PowerPoint — MBR and QBR decks, or a dashboard translated into slides

  • PDF — board and exec pre-reads, printable summaries, quarter-close records

  • Word — quarterly narratives, business cases, meeting write-ups

  • Excel — Scorecard exports, KR and KPI history, action inventories, planning worksheets

Ask in plain language — "Prepare the PowerPoint for my MBR" — and your agent builds it from live data.

40+ action-based skills

Your agent no longer just reports on your business — it takes action in it. Gen 3 agents can add meeting topics and takeaways, build Biz Reviews, create workstreams and actions, log KPI values, update Key Results, send feedback, and much more.

See Agent Capabilities: What Your Agent Can Do for the complete list, organized by topic.

Configurable agent skills

Skills let you tailor what your agent knows how to do. WorkBoard ships first-party skills to every agent, your IT Policy Admin can share skills across your organization, and you can upload your own personal skills as markdown files. Every skill can be switched on or off per agent.

External MCP connectors (Coming soon!)

Connect your agent to tools and data outside WorkBoard. If you have access to an MCP-capable tool — Jira, GitHub, Atlassian, and others — you can bring that context directly into your agent chats, alongside your OKRs and priorities.

Add connectors from the + button in the chat field, or from Settings → Data access.

Guided OKR Co-Authoring (Coming soon!)

Have a conversation with your agent about what you want to accomplish this quarter. Carry prior OKRs forward, attach documents, pull in market trends or competitive insights, then fine-tune the drafts inline or in the chat and publish them straight to WorkBoard with one click.

More artifacts

Artifacts are the interactive panels your agent opens beside the conversation. Gen 3 adds:

  • My Work This Week (New!)

  • Key Results (New!)

  • KPIs (Coming soon!)

  • Meetings (New!)

These join the artifacts you already have: Daily Focus, Actions and Action Lists, OKRs, Scorecards, and your default Objectives I Own view for an interactive experience where you can

My Week: View and update right from chat

Ask "What's on my plate today?" and your agent opens a fully interactive Action List in the conversation — check items off, reassign them, change due dates, and add comments without leaving the chat, and brainstorm with your Chief of Staff on how to move work forward!

Web search

Let your agent bring public information — industry trends, competitor positioning, company news — into a conversation about your WorkBoard data. Enable it with the + button in the message field.

Smaller improvements that add up

  • Copy responses directly from an agent conversation and paste them into other applications

  • Adjust the artifact window width — reveal more Scorecard columns, or shrink the panel to focus on the chat

  • and much more!

What carries over from your current agents

Gen 3.0 is a full-parity upgrade. You do not need to re-set anything up:

  • Your bookmarks, chat history, and Daily Focus

  • Your proactive job settings and team purview

  • Your connected external data sources and integrations (Slack, Teams, Outlook, Google Calendar, Jira, Azure DevOps, Salesforce)

  • Meeting summaries and next steps

  • Your organization's agent tone and prompt configuration

Getting started

  • Click My Agents in the top navigation to open Luisa or Sofia.

  • Install the Desktop App so your agents live outside your browser tabs.

  • Connect Slack or Teams and your calendar so your agent can reach you with nudges and prep for your meetings.

  • Connect your external data sources — the more context your agent has, the better its answers and Daily Focus

Availability

  • Agents are available to Intelligent Enterprise customers.

  • Within those accounts, agents are available to users who manage or co-manage at least one team.
