Set up a login acknowledgement message

Show your own policy or notice to everyone each time they log in to WorkBoard. People must accept it before they can use WorkBoard.

What it is

A login acknowledgement is a pop-up message that shows up when someone starts a new WorkBoard session. You write the text, so you can use it for anything you want people to see and agree to, such as:

  • Acceptable use or IT security policies

  • Data privacy or confidentiality notices

  • Legal or regulatory notices

  • Internal rules for handling sensitive information

How it works

  • The message appears every time a user starts a new session in WorkBoard.

  • It blocks access. The rest of WorkBoard is greyed out behind the message, and people can't use it until they click I Accept.

  • The text is fully customizable. You decide what it says.

  • It applies to all users in your organization.

How to turn it on

This feature is set up by the WorkBoard team, not in admin settings.

  1. Write the text you want people to see. (See the sample below.)

  2. Send it to your WorkBoard Customer Success Manager or to WorkBoard Support.

  3. We add the message to your account and let you know when it's live.

To change or remove the message later, send us the new text or ask us to turn it off.

What users see

When a user logs in, a message window opens in the middle of the screen with your text and an I Accept button. If the message is long, users scroll inside the window to read all of it. Once they click I Accept, WorkBoard opens as usual. They'll see the message again the next time they start a new session.

Tips for writing your message

  • Keep it short. People see it at every login, and longer text has to be scrolled. A few clear sentences work best.

  • Use plain text and bullet points. Short paragraphs and bullets are easy to read in the window.

  • Message can have hyperlinks

No. There's no close button. The only way forward is to click I Accept.

Can we see who accepted it?

WorkBoard can provide a report of acknowledgements.

Can we use different languages?

At this time the message cannot be localized; it is set by you for your organization as one customized message that is shows to all users in the same way.
